FAQ’S

Can I Have Botox Before Microblading?

For best results you should let your botox wear off before microblading. This will let your artist create symmetry between both brows.

What if I Can’t Wait For Botox To Wear Off?

Don’t worry if you just had Botox and you’re about to get microblading done, just have your artist stay within the brow line and create more fullness and definition by filling in any gaps. Then during the touch up appointment which is normally 4-6 weeks after the procedure, you can have the artist make further enhancements to your brow shape making the arches higher or the brow longer and thicker

What Pigments Do You Use?

I only use genuine top quality pigments from Permablend which are non toxic and hypoallergenic, medical grade and sterile. These are all European certified for micropigmentation

How Often Do I Need To Have Microblading Done?

The pigment used in Permanent Make Up can last between 1-3 years. The pigment will begin to fade within 12 months. In order to keep your brows looking fresh, a touch up is recommended every 12 months to 24 months maximum. However those with oily skin or those who prefer a very ‘made-up’ look will need to think about getting a touch up as soon as 6 months.

How long Is The Recovery Process?

The recovery is minimal and you can go back to your everyday life immediately. You may experience some swelling and redness as the skin is very thin in the brow area. Your colour may be 70% darker in the first 3-4 days. Once the thin layer of crust flakes away you will be left with a lighter and softer colour. I like to air on the side of caution at initial session and the client can always go darker at the perfection session.

What Are The Risks With Microblading

The risks are minimal, however this is an invasive procedure, so there are risks involved such as allergic reaction, infection, scaring, incorrect pigment placement. I adhere to all the Health and Safety guidelines to reduce this risk. It is extremely rare to hear of reactions to Permanent Makeup.

DOES PMU HURT?

It is very important to me that the client is completely comfortable throughout the procedure. I use a topical anesthetic. Most clients experience a slight scratching sensation which lessens as the anesthetic works its magic.

WHY HAVE SEMI-PERMANENT MAKE-UP?

For so many reasons!

  • To save time! If you are busy and want perfect brows then permanent makeup is for you. You will have perfect makeup from the minute you get out of bed, while you go swimming, or doing any sport.

  • The procedure can take years off you and make you look more youthful.

  • It is also a benefit if you have lost eyebrows due to chemotherapy or  alopecia.

  • Clients with diminishing eyesight can benefit from permanent make-up.

  • Clients with tremor in their hands who have a hard time applying makeup will also benefit.

WILL I NEED TO TWEEZE OR WAX AFTER TREATMENT?

Yes, you will still need to tweeze and wax. Microblading does not increase hair count or add thickness to thinning hair. The procedure does not prevent progressive hair loss or encourage new hair growth. I like to keep the integrity of your original brow shape as much as possible to avoid having to do excessive tweezing.

WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE THE RESULTS

I will go to great lengths to ensure every client is happy with colour and shape. The perfection session at 6 weeks is very important so that we can make adjustments and corrections to ‘perfect’ your brows.
